Week Three

Made it through the first 2 weeks! We have quickly realized that getting work is not as difficult as we feared. In 11 days of work, I have been offered 11 days of work. I slept through my alarm once (half intentionally) and missed calls but then ended up being called in for the afternoon and declined work on Friday to register for a doctor. Which I ended up being late for and couldn't do.


The past two weekends the five of us (Bev, Laura and our Irish roomies Claire and Niamh - pronounced Neeve) have ventured about finding fun things to do. In the picture to the right, Niamh is in the top right and Claire is below on the right. Last weekend they took us to a Hurling match (Irish sport combining millions of other sports - namely field hockey and rugby). We are hoping that Claire's boyfriend lures some Irish boys to our neck of the woods around Halloween :)



This past weekend we went to a vintage festival in Shoreditch that was very cool (below). I bought a 1940's navy blue dress that I'm not sure I can pull off yet. I tried it on there over my clothes but Laura's voice had to act as my mirror. We then did a small pub crawl since that was the only logical way we could think of to scope out the area. Very fun but hipsters EVERYWHERE!!





Next weekend, Laura and I are heading to Scotland! Edinburgh + Highlands/Loch Ness/Isle of Skye tour. Should be fun - more updates soon!
